The intelligent banking API

Access to online bank accounts opens new possibilities, and new services are emerging based on the analysis of account data. The finAPI Banking API enables simple and secure retrieval and analysis of financial data from private and business accounts.

Connection to international banking

With finAPI Access you can take off in Europe – the following countries are available: Germany, Austria, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary. Further countries are being developed and planned – just contact us if countries that are important to you are not currently listed. 

Access to all types of bank account

With the account view function, it is possible to access and analyze almost all accounts, for example via our PSD2-compliant XS2A interface. Current accounts, overnight accounts, savings accounts, credit cards, securities accounts, building society savings books, shares in cooperatives and even PayPal. With our finAPI Access B2X service package, you can view not only payment accounts of private customers, but also businesses’ account data.

Retrieving and viewing account data

The most important element of our banking API is the XS2A (access-to-account) interface, which of course complies with the PSD2 payment services directive. Depending on the bank, account type and application, FinTS/HBCI, web scraping and data retrieval via APIs from financial service providers such as PayPal are also possible.

finAPI delivers account retrieval from almost all banks in Germany, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia as well as a wide range of further services. We are an ideal partner for financial institutions, account information services, third-party service providers and many other companies.

No PSD2 license? No problem.

With finAPI, you can save yourself the expensive and time-consuming effort of getting your own BaFin license. You can use finAPI’s PSD2 license to comply with licensing and registration requirements. And licensed service providers can be allowed access to account data with the account holder’s consent.
