Banking-API, XS2A, FinTS & Scraper

Access to Account Information (AIS)

finAPI provides reliable access to bank accounts via the PSD2-compliant XS2A interface, the European standard for Open Banking. This enables secure and stable connections to payment accounts such as current accounts.

In addition, finAPI supports the German FinTS protocol (formerly HBCI). FinTS allows access to a wide range of additional account types that are typically not available via XS2A. These include, for example, savings accounts, building society accounts, credit card accounts, and securities accounts. If neither XS2A nor FinTS is available, finAPI uses web scraping as a fallback method to ensure comprehensive data access even in these cases.

Depending on the bank, country, and available interface, the following account types and data sources can be connected. Our sales team will be happy to advise you and provide a list of supported banks on request.

Payments can be made in euros and in other local currencies such as Romanian Leu, Czech Koruna, or British Pound. finAPI supports SEPA payments within the Single Euro Payments Area, as well as payments to and from the United Kingdom.
