How it works

Seamless online payments by bank for your customers

Fast, error-free and seamless: At checkout, customers select “SEPA transfer” or “instant transfer” and are securely redirected to finAPI. There, they log in with their usual online banking credentials and authorize the payment – just like any regular bank transfer. All payment details are pre-filled, eliminating input errors. The money is transferred directly to your account. With instant payments, the money is even credited within seconds.

1. Select Pay by Bank
At checkout, customers select “SEPA transfer” or “instant transfer” as their payment method.
2. Select bank
Customers are securely redirected to finAPI, where they select their bank. They can search by name, location, IBAN, or bank code or simply click on one of the suggested banks.
3. Log in to online banking
Your customers log in to online banking with their usual login details – just as they are used to doing at their bank. The connection via finAPI is encrypted and secure.
4. Authorize the Payment
All transfer details are pre-filled. Customers simply review the information and confirm the payment using SCA (e.g. via TAN or biometric authentication). They are then automatically redirected back to the shop.
