finAPI and Shopware announce partnership: Pay by Bank plugin for Instant Payments now available
Munich, October 28, 2025 – finAPI, one of Europe’s leading Open Banking providers, and Shopware, the leading open commerce platform, today announced their partnership. With the new Pay by Bank plugin, now available in the Shopware Store, merchants can offer payments via Instant Payments and standard SEPA transfers directly in their shops.
Account-to-account payments for a modern checkout experience
The plugin brings a simple and secure solution to the Shopware checkout: customers pay directly via their familiar online banking – without additional registration or wallets. Funds are transferred directly from the customer’s account to the merchant’s business account, enabling faster settlement, more transparency, and lower costs in the payment process.
Growing trend in online commerce
“With regulatory requirements and the forecast market growth, we see account-to-account payments becoming an important addition to the payment mix. Easy onboarding for merchants
The Pay by Bank plugin has been designed for fast and seamless integration. Merchants benefit from a transparent pricing model: no fixed fees, transaction-based costs only, and full flexibility with monthly cancellation.
